I love being creative and finding new ways to be inspired! This blog is a venue in which I will share my artwork (as well as other random things that spark my curiosity or inspire me) with loved ones and whomever else might find interest in art, design, and my creative/spiritual journey. I'm a designer, an artist, a journaler (is that a word?), a lover of Jesus...I try to find beauty in regular, everyday moments, and I'm following the Lord through this creative journey in hopeful expectation of where He is leading.

A face only a mother could love

{ It's like two completely different dogs... }

Summer is nearly here and with the warmer weather comes the shedding of coats...Ralf's coat, more specifically!

We have a wonderful groomer, she's super sweet and Ralf adores her. He has so much hair that she usually has to clear out her schedule just to have enough time for his crazy locks. Since it is indeed warming up, and he gets pretty toasty in his thick mane, he went in today for his summer shave. He's been looking forward to this cut for about two weeks...I could tell that he's been pretty uncomfortable surrounded by all that hair (even though he is so adorable with the shaggy look). Before and after he was groomed, he was weighed. The dog lost 5 pounds of hair after his cut!!! Here's a before and after just so you can see the difference...it's almost like you can see the happiness and relief in his little face now that he's free from the hairy mess. Andy says he's not cute any more; that now he has a face only a mother could love.

This reminds me of Oprah's men before and afters. Usually they have big ole beards and scraggle hair and they get all clean shaven and look so different!

WHO KNEW that face was under there?! WOWZER! What a sweetie.

Sprocket was the same way so I just had to get his summer cut a little early. He was laying on top of the air-conditiong vent in the living room far too often!

P.S. My husband says the same thing after Sprocket's haircut! :)

haha Candis-men's makeovers are always the most dramatic!

Jennifer-I love Sprocket! His blue eyes are so precious. Too funny about your husband saying that-must be a guy thing :)
